My name is Jonathan Lippard and I have been a Quixtar IBO for about 3 years now. When I registered with Quixtar I was very excited about the income potential that it created for myself along with my friends and family. When registering I was made aware that this was not a "mickey mouse, pie in the sky, get rich quick scheme". I was made aware that it did take a lot of work, that anything worth having was going to involve a strong work ethic. Since registering I have found a new zeal in life. I have since married, and am expecting to be a father in march which is a tremendous honor and I am very excited about having this business afford us the opportunity to have my wife stay home and raise our children. I work in lawn care full time and i realize that lawn care would not afford us the same luxury. Another thing that this business brings is flexibility of being able to fit it in to our busy lifestyle. As an IBO we have the choice of when to build our business and when to have "our" time. Quixtar has provided us with so much more than the income potential. It has taught me how to grow up from a 20 year old college student to becoming a husband at 22 and a father at 24. Without the great leaders and coaches we have through our association through quixtar I would not even understand what a real man is and how to live a fulfilled life in all areas. I definately agree that something should be done to stop the illegal pyramids and get rich quick schemes. I do feel that the current proposal would accomplish that, but by using the proposal it would severely hamper the great opportunity that we have with Quixtar. I know from personal experience that we want to show the prospect success as quickly as possible. With the current proposal we would have to wait 7 days after giving out a list of other IBO's in the area to the prospect to register the prospect. While I understand the goal, I do not agree with giving out private information of other IBO's to a prospect. I am a very trusting person, but I do not give out all of my personal information to someone that I am just getting acquainted with. When I registered I was very excited and had one of my coaches come to my parents house and show them this awesome business opportunity. My parents we very skeptical before they saw the plan, and afterwards they were ready to sign up on the spot. My first full month in business I made over $150. With the proposed restrictions that would have never happened and I would not have had near the confidence in this business that I gained from making a profit of $150 in my first full month. When I registered I was told it was $150 to do so. Since then it has gone up with a different registring package to $180. The same is true now as it was then, if i so chose to quit and get a refund, I could have done so and gotten 100% of the money that I invested back. I understand and applaud the fact that the FTC is cracking down on people that are trying to use others to make a quick buck and then skip town to leave the prospects with nothing. Those kind of businesses give ours a bad name and I want them taken care of. But by using the proposed restrictions on our awesome Quixtar business, it will severely hamper the growth of IBO's and will not be able to build the belief in the prospects, as it did me, by helping them create a decent profit withing 1-2 months. The potential IBO's that I talk with understand that it does take work, it is not get rich quick, and that I can not garuntee anything. To make this business work it is totally up the the IBO and I do not know how hard he is willing to work. Thank you again for cracking down on the illegal schemes but I do ask that you find something else that will not hamper the wonderful opportunity that we have with Quixtar. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Jonathan Lippard
