I am a stay at home mom and reserve the right to own a small business without having to place time restrictions on other women who want to start a business just like mine. I thought about starting my business for an entire year before making a commitment and if I were to fail it would be because I CHOSE to not follow up with my pursuit of happiness. I am not a crook and neither are the women I know that know other women who know other women that usually join businesses like these. My business offers a very minimal financial commitment and women, or men, can MAKE THE CHOICE to begin with no money by earning inventory with my very own profits! Plus, there is no loss if a person decides to sell their inventory and stop selling. In addition to that, my business does not give a direct bonus for instant recruits but rather offers a bonus when individuals have been aided into building their business. Who's to say that a person who wants to join a small business will even care to read the info given to them and what is the likelihood that seven days will delay their interest in that business? What kind of impact do you think this restriction will have and will it actually change anything? If you think that all small business opportunities are a scandal then put your efforts in informing and educating the public! People buy cars impulsively and shop with credit cards among other things that put them in interest debt and instant depreciation, verses the opportunity to start a business and earn profit which will help them pay for such things! Your opposed restrictions require a crook to give out names and addresses of random people, some of which names may even be legit, who will still run off with people's money! Do you think these restrictions are going to stop these crooks? Besides, it is not safe to inform the public of which houses contain business inventory. I oppose the proposed restrictions and feel that your suggestion to give out names and addresses INCREACES the risk of both home break-ins and identity theft! Do you even have a clue as to the hundreds and thousands of names that would be circulating around the country to every Tom, Dick, and Harry? That is a retarded suggestion! Go put your efforts in education, not restriction! We are trying to earn a living, raise children, feed our husbands, and help others better themselves. That is the American way! Try coming up with an informative brochure that is required to be given to people who want to start a new business and include information that tells the public how to identify a crook and what authorities should be notified. That makes more sense! I personally think, in a broad scope, your proposed restrictions do nothing but impose tyranny upon the American people and defy the principals laid out in our Constitution in our pursuit of financial freedom. People have to make financial decisions every day and should have the choice to own a small business the day they make contact. You are not an escrow company and we are not selling houses. Rather, do what will make a massive impact on people by educating the schools about fraud protection so people grow up knowing these risks and how to logically make financial decisions. After all, school education was extremely successful in getting the last two generations to beleive there was there was such a thing as safe sex and that unproven theories were true! I am not saying that educating kids about fraud is deceptive, but that kids are teachable if you are willing to educate them.
