I believe the goals of the FTC are wise. However, the method in which the FTC is going about it is unfair to the honest and hard working businessmen and women all over the U.S. The number of honest people far outweigh the dishonest. If this rule were to be implemented, it would destroy, in some cases, the only opportunity the "average Joe" has to become truly great, through helping others acheive. I believe that all that Quixtar and the people at Alticor stand for is all that was truly intended by the founders of this great nation. People come from all over the world to this country in hopes they may become financially free. I think it is absolutely absurd to think that ANY company should have to present all litigation to a new customer. ANYONE can make an allegation. If I were to buy a can of Coca-Cola, I don't ask for all of Coca-Cola's legal history. That would be unfair and ridiculous of me to ask. I think the fact that Quixtar ALREADY offers to give the new person's money back is more than enough to satisfy an unhappy customer. Most traditional companies do not do this. And ANYONE that would require that a new prospective IBO be given ten OTHER IBO's names and phone numbers to contact, is surely aiming at completely eliminating the spirit of Free Enterprise all together. That would be the same as a car salesman working hard all day for the sale, and then at the close he would have to give his prospect to ten other sales people who would then have the opportuntity to take advantage of the other guy's hard work of locating, prospecting and leading that customer through to the very end of the sales cycle, only to lose the sale to some random person. This would also eliminate the guy in the small town, that has no other IBO's in his area. This rule must be done away with. I feel as though someone is taking direct aim at the heart of Free Enterprise. I am a U.S. Army Veteran, and I feel that it is unfair to take away what so many men and women have died to protect. I believe it is wrong and it will show at the polls.
