I’d like to respond to the rule that’s currently under consideration regarding presenting our business plan to prospects and the entire registration process. I’ve been actively building a business affiliated with Quixtar.com since January of 2000. The highest achievement level that I’ve reached so far is Founders Platinum, which isn’t anything to brag about but it does carry a degree of leadership and responsibility. First I’d like to say that I agree wholeheartedly with the intent of your proposal, to provide prospective business owners with accurate and complete information for them to make an informed decision. I personally believe that if prospects truly did enough research with the right sources, they’d all come to the conclusion that a business like this is a great financial vehicle. And Quixtar leads the pack. However, I’d hope that you would take a few thoughts in to consideration regarding your proposal. First, a waiting period is unnecessary with our business specifically because we have a 30-day guarantee, allowing a new IBO (Independent Business Owner) to change her mind and get her money back. Rather than a waiting period, why not mandate a similar guarantee for all direct selling companies? Requiring a list of referrals is a scary proposition to me for two reasons. One, because it presents a huge risk of new prospects registering with whomever they like best on the phone, regardless of who did the work do find the prospect and present them the plan. Two, as a leader, I would imagine it would be very time consuming for me to respond to multiple calls a day from people looking for information. Finally, again with our team specifically, this is unnecessary because our first priority is to have new prospects come to a meeting and meet, live and in person, the other IBO’s on our team. We want them to come and see real, live people and ask all the questions they want, in the right forum. Please consider dropping this part of the proposal. Regarding the litigation disclosure, please reconsider that as well. People are so emotion-driven, if they’re presented with all that legal drama, it won’t matter that it ended in our favor, all they’ll hear is the drama of it all. Also, one of the biggest advantages of a business like ours is that it’s simple. If people have to wade through too much information to even figure out if it’s a good deal or not, they won’t do it. Most people I talk to are already overwhelmed with just getting things done with life. If what we offer isn’t simple enough that they feel they can do it on top of everything else, the conversation will stop before it’s even considered. Thank you very much for your time and consideration of my thoughts and the thoughts I know you’ll receive from other IBO’s. We appreciate your efforts to maintain order and fairness so everyone can fully and freely participate in our free-enterprise economy. Wendy Crowell Lee’s Summit, MO
