This is about the proposed rule regarding disclosure of certain information before participating in a business oppurtunity. I am an independent business owner from Quixtar. Here are my concerns with some of the proposed rule/s 1. As an IBO, I would be required to give every prospect a list of 'references' – the names, addresses, and phone numbers of 10 other IBOs in the area – seven days before the prospect registers. This will infringe the privacy of myself and my team mates and be very daunting to someone who is new. Moreover it might be impossible for a person living say in India to refer the business to someone in the US, without knowing 10 IBOs living in the same area as the prospect. There is also a chance of another IBO 'stealing' my business. Every prospect is invited to meet withother IBOs in the area during our training sessions and has an oppurtunity to interact and ask questions if he/she so desires, before he/she decides to sign up. Quixtar also has a full refund policy if the propect decides to discontinue within 90 days of joining the business. Hence, I request you to withdraw this rule as it will have a negative impact on my business. 2. I would be required to provide prospects with personal financial documents to back up ('substantiate') any income claim - This would infringe my privacy and the privacy of the people (mentor) who are mentoring me in the business. Again it would steal the busniess oppurtunities from several would be entrpreneurs. It should suffice if Quixtar gives an average income for all IBOs as is done right now. Moreover, the amount of money I make through my IBO ship with Quixtar is in direct proportion to my work ethic and may be more or less than my prospect. My income is in no way an idicator of what my prospect is capable or willing to make. Hence, I request you to withdraw this requirement. My affiliation with Quixtar and my team of mentors and friends in the Quixtar business has helped me to develop personally and I cannot place a value on the personal growth I have experienced by being part of the system. I understand that it is quiet challenge to bring in legislation to weed out the bogus business opportunities, while providing a level playing field for honest business. I appreciate your efforts. However, I request you to withdraw the rules mentioned above as they will negatively impact my business.
