Team National Independent Marketing Director Date 7/15/2006 Re: Business Opportunity Rule R511993 To Whom It May concern: I am writing this letter because I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I’m a licensed realtor for 16 yrs and these rules are more restrictive then real estate rules & laws. Team National has provided an incredible opportunity for me to make a good living from home. I have a college degree and a husband unable to solely support the family. These rules will scare people away before our business; we have struggled long and hard to become recognized as real valid businesses!! I understand that the FTC purpose is to protect the public from “unfair and deceptive acts or practices,” I believe that this proposed rule could prevent me from continuing my home based business with Team National. There are specific sections in the proposed rule that will make it very difficult, if not impossible, for me to build my Team National Business. I’m a stay at home mom, and have been able to create enough income to allow me to raise my children. The rules need to be fair, and the proposed rules are very broad and do more damage then good. We understand that the public does need protection but the proposed rules will destroy most of the direct selling industry. The rules need to be more specific and less restrictive.
