To Whom it may concern, I have been with several direct sales companies over the last 11 years. This is a wonderful field to be associated with. Because of my career opportunity in the direct sales business I have been able to raise my kids at home vs a day care provider raising my them. I am very thankful for this opportunity and feel it is very important to our children everywhere when mom can raise them vs a stranger! Unfortunately life is to expensive these days to have the luxury to afford to be home without 2 incomes. My husband comes home from an 8 hour day of work we have dinner together as a family then I go to work in the evenings doing home shows for women who enjoy them very much. I have worked very hard over the last 11 years to provide a wonderful enviroment for my children and all the extra's that I could because of my income from direct sales. If I did not have this income we would not be able to afford to live in our home in our neighborhood. We would have to move. I presently have 156 people in my lineage, 1 division manager and 14 unit managers. My income from this last year was $60,000 and this year is on track to be $110,000. My husbands income is only $50,000 and will never change. If my income from direct sales were to end tomorrow I would be on the street or in an apartment in less than one month. We could never maintain what we have since this is the field I have spent 11 years in and have no college education to go anywhere else. Getting in to another field to make the income we now enjoy at age 42 is nearly impossible. I have helped so many women thru my recruiting who also feel the same way I feel. I am very proud to have this opportunity to share with them. As a mom there is no other field that gives us what we have now, the luxury to be home with our kids during the day and work a 3 hour shift to earn $200 to $400 an evening is more than I could of ever dreamed of. I beg of you to please not "rock the boat" with all of our careers it is vital to the future of our children and the income our family depends on. Thank you for your time, Phyllis Califano
