Please, in an era of mass deregulation of industries that puts the worker and consumer at more risk than before, why in the world are you seeking to regulate an industry that HELPS people?!? Network marketing, direct sales, and business opportunity of the work from home variety have opened up so many viable, and truely freeing options for a decent to excellent living! This is at the heart of the American dream. Our industry provides product lines that one will never find in retail stores or pharmacies. These products have helped people with numerous health, financial , and other issues. These are legitimate businesses, legitimate products, and legitimate opportunites. Indeed, some are better than others, but I feel the consumer can make an informed decision on their own, without outrageous government regulations! I am in business to help people..bottom line! We make no income guarantees-by any means! The harder one is willing to work in this industry, the more likely the chances of success will be. I work with my business partners to help them succeed, and with their success comes my success! It is co-operative, rather than competative. THIS is an excellent business model, and should absolutely be taught in more business schools around the country. If these regulations go through, it may severly hinder mine and my partners' abilities to effectively earn a living. I have tried th 9-5 world a number of times and have concluded that I'm simply not suited for it. I am an entreprenuer, and this industry suits me perfectly. Please, I beseech you, don't regulate this industry based on misperceptions that your protecting the consumer, or fears that these are nothing but scams.
