My husband is a fireman in a small town and it doesn't pay enough for us to make ends meet. I started with a network marketing company so I could stay home with my children and help with the rising cost of gas, food, utilities and insurances. I believe the proposed rule would hurt people like me who are trying to start up in a legitimate business. The long waiting period will discourage people who want to get started right away. With such a small start up fee, I don't understand why there has to be a waiting period to get started. Why can't the burden of proving a company is legitimate rest on the main headquarters of the company? Make a company have a customer service number manned by a person, and if an answering machine is used after business hours, make them call the person back. Make the company be listed in the phone book or a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Honest companies will abide by the rules you set, but dishonest companies will find a way to put out false information regarding the rules you set. Please reconsider passing this new rule with the provisions that are now in it. Thank you for your time and attention and your desire to make business opportunities free from dishonest scammers.
