Dear Sirs: Thank you for working to ensure that the direct marketing industry maintains and improves its reputation as a powerful part of the U.S. business economy. Unfortunately, your proposed rules are over burdening and penalized honest businessmen. The proposed rules are unmanageable for the average direct marketing business and would force many businesses to close. This would impact one of the fastest growing segments of business in the U.S. today. Please amend the proposed rules to not include: the seven day waiting period; providing IBO references; providing detailed personal income levels; and providing a list of all litigation past litigation involving the industry.
