Dear FTC Board, Thank you for your concern over legal direct selling organizations. My wife and I have benefited greatly from the eductation and financial rewards we have recieved by working our independent business powered by Quixtar over the past 4 yrs. We always make sure to provide them with FTC approved information when discussing the business plan and encourage them to read it over completely. When we registered our sponsors provided us with all the information we asked for and helped get answers to any questions we had. What is nice about Quixtar is the money back guarantee on all the products and the registration within a 60 to 180 day time period. It allowed us to feel like there was no pressure or lose if we decided to change our mind within a fair period of time. The 7 day waiting period might have caused some doubt in our minds which may have caused us to not register. Without registering we would have a much different [more negative and less productive] life then we have today. Typically once people register or as they are learning about the business we get them around others inside the organization. With hotel meeting and monthly seminars they get a chance to interact with different people who come from all walks of life. I feel furnishing a list of other IBOs not associated with us might result in losing prospects to other people and thereby having our work benefit someone who did nothing to help this person. The most important issue when talking financial rewards with a prospect is that the Quixtar business is not a "get rich quick plan". It takes time and effort, as does every true business, and I am certainly glad my sponsors conveyed that message to me. We give our prospects an SA4400 document with approved FTC numbers in it. Since the amount of money one makes is dependent on their effort, personal statements are no where near as good a rule of measure as the SA4400 approved document. Thank you for caring about our industry and I hope these comments helped in creating a better direct selling community.
