|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 437|
Comments:I love being a Quixtar IBO. My life circumstances have so greatly improved since becoming an IBO. Not just monetarily but in personal areas of my life. I enjoy helping others to become the people they want to be. We have a system of learning available to everyone who wants to participate. There is the possibility of earning money, maybe a lot of money with this business and how much a person earns is depends on the work they do and their willingness to learn. Registration is about $365 and this is not a big outlay of cash. If someone decides to quit within the first short while their money can be refunded from Quixtar, if it is later than that I will give them back their registration money from my own pocket if it is necessary. I have only once had someone want to quit a few days after registering and because I didn't know what to do I wrote them a check to reimburse their expense. There are scoundrels in every area of life-school, church, government. Are teachers, clergy, or politicians punished because of the work they have chosen to do? No, those who do a bad deed are punished, not everyone. It seems what the proposed rule will do is to punish everyone before the fact. That is against everything that America stands for. There are probably people in direct sales who are there to prey on others in order to line their own pockets. There are people in all areas of life who enjoy taking from those who are less fortunate. Is that the majority? No!! Only a few people in life are out to 'rip off' others. Should all people on welfare be viewed as 'rip off' artists even though some people on welfare have learned how to play the system? Again I say NO! The many should not be punished for the actions of the few!! My conscience would not allow me to look for people to take advantage of and should you impose the new rules for direct sales I am being lumped in with those who would. There is something inherently wrong with this thinking. If I do something wrong it is at that point that discipline or punishment should be given. There are laws already in place to deal with this kind of person or orgainzation - use them. One area of the proposed rule deals with a litigation list. This is MY business and I should only be responsible for the things that I do. Should the car dealership provide a list of all litigation for the car manufacturer, the cars they produce, as well as every other dealership in the country? I appreciate the concern of the FTC for the people. Let the rules already in place do their job. See the good that Quixtar has done for people and let that speak for itself. There are unhappy people in every area of life. People quit all things like churches and marriages, jobs. That does not make church, marriage or the job bad? I don't tell people that they will make this much or that much. I tell people that with hard work,diligence and time that they should be able to significantly improve their financial picture. But this is not a free lunch and you can't expect to get something for nothing. I don't tell people my income level. I don't because my income in no way determines their income potential. I tell them that this is working for me and that I am happy with the results. To require me to furnish my financial records to prospective IBO's would be extreemly inappropriate!! No one needs to know my financial information to be successful in this business. This is a DO business, if people will follow the system and DO what is asked of them they should have success. Their view of success should not be based on what I think of as success. This in NOT a 'get rich quick' plan, hard work is required to succeed. Come and see for yourself the lives that have been touched, the futures that are brighter, come and see the people whose lives are better because of being a Quixtar IBO. Come and see the children of IBO's. Come and see for yourself before you pass judgement. It isn't broken, leave it alone!!
