Attn. Federal Trade Commission Member: I am writing due to my concern with some of the requirements you are proposing for the direct sales industry. I have been a Partylite Consultant for 3+ years now. I started my business unexpectedly due to my husband's job situation. With the requirements you are proposing, I know I would not have started this business had those stipulations existed over three years ago. I started making money immediately with Partylite, if I had to wait a week to even get the paper work started, it would have delayed my earnings and my momentum. My business is largely based on sharing this very real opportunity with others. These requirements will make it difficult for others to start as easily as I did and may even cause some to shy away from the opportunity all together. I also would not feel comfortable having my personal information shared or sharing the information of others in the company. My Partylite business has provided my family with the opportunity for me to stay home with my children during the day and still receive an income, along with making our dreams come true with a brand new home. These opportunities and others are why I love sharing the Partylite experience. I am thankful for the FTC and your protection of everyday consumers like myself, but in this instance you would be working against me, my family and our dreams. We kindly ask that you reconsider these current regulations that are being proposed. Respectfully yours, Amy Odell
