FTC, These comments are directly in response to your proposed new "Trade Regulation Rule on Business Opportunities". I think it is absolutely necessary to protect our American citizens against illegal pyramids and foney network marketing schemes. However don't punish the legitimate network marketing businesses that are legitimate and straigth forward. You the FTC are asking us to reveal private information to prospects ie how much money we make. That information is personal. Quixtar is no different than any growing business that get lawsuits on a regular basis. Doesn't Microsoft get lawsuits from loosers. I don't think it's necessary to provide prospects with references. A company should not be penalized for negative comments that anyone can post on the internet as a public bathroom wall. I ask that you stop iligitimate marketing businesses but leave the legitimate network marketing business alone.
