Regarding how this act has impacted the problem: I can not see any improvement and in fact the problem is getting worse. On my home email account I receive on average 38 spams per day. My wife's account receives about 20. We have had these accounts for 5 years and a year ago we would average 1 or 2 per day each. My neighbors, who are on the same ISP, are also seeing increased spam, to the point where I have installed spam blockers or spam filtering software on three machines. I am now getting 3 spams or more a week at work, a large multinational corporation that filters the email, when I never received it before and I have been working here for 8 years. Yes, the situation has not improved.
