Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008To the Commissioners,I applaud your efforts to curb the problem ofunsolicited bulk email. However, I am concerned aboutthe proposed requirement for merchants to maintainsuppression lists.Specifically, the required use of suppression lists willseriously damage many of the legitimate publicationsavailable on the net. My specific concern is for harm topublishers who require permission from the consumerprior to adding them to any list. That includes me -- I send 10,000+ emails a month, ONLYto people who request information from me. If this ability is taken away or regulated out of existence, I will likelyhave to close my business, Guaranteed Resumes, whichprovides resumes to clients worldwide. On top of that, suppression lists could easily fall intothe hands of spammers, leading to MORE spam insteadof less.I urge you in the strongest possible terms to reconsider its implementation in light of these problems,Kevin DonlinEdina, Minn.952-946-7952
