I am really tired of dealing with spam. I just changed my email address, one week ago, and opened five email accounts--hotmail, netscape, yahoo and two others. I got the hotmail for when I need a public address. The others I assigned according to people that do not do blind copies and like that. I figured these address I could be changed easier, in the future, to avoid spam. The hotmail box I can set to only receive email from people on my address list and the rest go to junk. This still plugs my box when I can't check it daily as it uses up my alloted 2MB. The new email address I just got from my local IP, last week, I gave to only 9 relatives that do not do forwards. I combined numbers and letters in my address. I was stunned to get spam--one a day--the last three days at what I considered my new and private email address. I cannot imagine how the the spammers got this new address. I feel I will need to change it again in two months before we leave for an extended vacation. When we go on vacation I stop at libraries just to delete the spam so my box doesn't bounce the mail I want to receive. I use my alloted time at libraries just deleting spam and get no time to read the messages I want or send any. I have a laptop but I do not feel I want to pay fees to delete emails I don't want, on the road, and waste my allowed time deleting spam so I leave that home. I feel that spam should be totally illegal and if we want a newsletter or something we can opt in. I would never buy anything from spam emails and I feel very violated everytime I receive one and have to delete spam. I was getting 90 spam and 10 good emails a day before I changed my address recently. Please do something to stop this unwanted nuisance so a citizen does not have to dread checking their email box. I do not feel we should have to pay a fee to send emails like I have read proposed in articles. This is one way I can keep in contact with my children, and relatives, around the country and get a fast reply. Please stop the spammers.
