Comments:
Referring to B-2, the initial result of the Can-Spam Act, in our experience has been a gross INCREASE in the number of unsolicited, and undesirable e-mail messages in our in-boxes. Also, any unsolicited e-mail should carry a simple, conspicuous check box for an opt-out. Also, while I have an on-going commercial relationship with, e.g., my Internet provider, that should NOT permit that party to send me unrelated, or marginally-related solicitations. I should have the same opt-out check box even with firms that I otherwise do business with. I have been pestered by unsolicited, unwanted sales messages offering services beyond our primary relationship.
