You are all missing the point. If you could tell your email program JUST WHO you want to receive email from and have it delete all other email from the ISP's server then a can-spam act wouldn't need to be enacted. NO ONE would receive spam. ISP's servers wouldn't be clogged up. And sooner or later the SPAMMERS would go out of business. And that would be a good thing? yes. As far as my address book white list sending me forwarded spam, chain emails, and other assorted garbage; I can handle that. It's called personal responsibility. And doesn't require a law. Saves millions of dollars every year, prevents lawyers perverting what laws we have, and judges can't legislate what I do in my own home. And for those who are wondering, No, I'm not an anarchist. Just an AMERICAN.
