It is in most cases quite easy to detrmine if the commercial intent of an email is one of which you do not wish to partake. That is the obvious misleading of the words in the subject line. When it is so filled with characters and obvious misspellings one knows it is not something they want to open. I found no mention of emails received attempting to illegially sell medications. Purchasing medications without a prescription seems to be really big business. I found no mention of any smut or porn mailings. Frankly, I, as a woman am really tired of receiving emails telling me how to make and keep my male private parts hard. When I have none. I find it disgusting and imposing. There is no mention of anything that would stop this. Receiving mailing offering teenage girls and offering pictures of teenage girls in compromising positions seems to be a common offering. I do not consider this commercial email and so it doesn't seem to be covered. It appears from what I read above that the bill will cover legitimate emails in attempt to gain more business for legimate businesses and that we will be stopping that and overlooking the real problems and offenses. I found no specific mention of mailings that promote stocks and finances. These are sent appealing to the consumer and do not seem to be covered as I feel they do not come under the guise of commercial emails. There is so much re-routing of messages that it is nearly impossible to be able to trace email back to it's source. It may begin in Boston or LA. But it is sent out of the US and re-routed back and may appear to have come form anyplace in the world. I began my own private war on porn and smut mailings. I quickly stopped. I had been sending to the abuse addresses of the senders ISP, and the FTC. What it got me was an extemely influx of specifically the type of mail I was attempting to wage the war against. And the content was even more vulgar and more offensive. The problem being I had to open the mail and copy it to the abuse persons. When it is opened it prompts more mail to come. So, unless I do not understand, it appears you are not completely on track with your endeavor. It is a nice, small beginning but needs to be expounded on greatly.
