I am in favor of a Do Not Email Registry. However it should not be in the form of having to "opt-out" of each and every company that produces such spam. The companys producing spam shouldd first have to refer to the "Do Not Call Registry" and if a persons email address is on said list then the company canNOT email said address, period!!! Perhaps one way of dealing with spam is that the companys producing such should have to put in the subject line something such as "Commercial Message", this way i as an individual have the option to read it, or send it directly to the trash bin without having to open it.
