I have not read the Can-Spam act so cannot comment on some questions above but I have opinions relative to spam. It seems the more I opt-out of spam the more span I obtain. Treat my email as if it were an extension of my phone, as it is, and do not call me if unsolicited. The language used in some of the email subject lines is horrendous and should be illegal in itself. They should never be allowed to be legal and sent unsolicited. If a recipient of an email cannot click the reply button and reply to that email, that original email sender should be considered a spammer. Those emails come back to me as "cannot reply due to inactive account" and should be illegal as most of them have an indecent subject line and are considered to me to be trash. At the start of this year, my inbox would gather20 trash emails per day and now it is gathering, on average 100 per day and it increases every day by a few. Where can I go to put myself on your so-called OPT-OUT list? Thanks for your time. Mark
