I would strongly support the passage of a Do not email registry. I have signed up for the do not call registry and the junk phone calls have actually stopped. I think that anyone who reports violations of the CAN-SPAM Act should share in the fine collected from the violator. Also, I would like to see the Act require all senders to use a valid return address. If the address is not valid, the system should destroy the email. I am now receiving about 65 junk emails a day. There is no opt out option in them and replying results in an undeliverable email. These idiots need to run out of town. Email service providers should be required to provide the customers the option of rejecting any email with a bogus return address, not just putting it in a bulk mail folder which clogs up the adresses' mailbox.
