ANY non-requested commercially related E-mail is an imposition on the recipient's time and privacy and should be banned. In addition, such E-mail in toto is greatly diminishing the effectiveness and value of an incomparable communication vehicle and should not be tolerated by society. The CAN-SPAM Act should recognize that gross abusers may regard any fines as a mere "cost of doing business", and provide for jail time for gross abusers. I strongly favor a National Do Not Email Registry, and would like to see it expanded through multinational or UN negotiations.
