A-3 Any unsolicited email that is sent promoting a product or service should be considered an advertisement or promotion. A questionaire asking if one wishes to receive information regarding a product or service should precede this type of email. The questionaire should outline the usage of information gathered by the company (individual) and easy access should be allowed to discontinue email from them. E.1-2 When a company sends client (individual, etc.) information to other companies, they should also inform all companies or individuals they send this information to that the client has requested being dropped from their mail list.
