Any unrequested emails should be considered spam -- whether it is commercial, advertising, promotional, or any other type of junk mail. (not from a person or organization that you have REQUESTED to hear from - directly and clearly) The recent implementation of the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY has been a monumental stress reducer and breath of sanity in today's world! I consider it an unqualified success to date. I have reported 2 incidents of marketing contacts to date, and have received perhaps 5 total calls since the list's inception. What a relief. I can only hope that your DO NOT EMAIL REGISTRY will be as successful. We have to take back our world from unwanted interruptions. We PAY for these services and should not have to spend our time and money sifting through junk emails - especially those promoting deviant behaviors and those that employ underhanded spamming tactics. I am employed by a school district in Michigan. We have been infiltrated by numerous spamming email viruses, and a good deal of our taxpayer money is being spent to pay our computer technicians to waste their time removing these viruses, reformatting infected systems, and warning and answering complaints and questions regarding these attacks. We cannot afford this!!! And the pornographic email viruses are put us in jeopardy of our filtering requirements for schools. Subject Line Labeling should allow for easy filtering. One key word should be included clearly, separately, defined along with the filter that will delete it available to the public. HELP us with some common sense laws! Thank you Lue Ann Schmidt
