Do Not Spam Registry: The do not call, do not mail lists seems to be very effective. Having a do not spam registry would be a great idea, and provide a basis of punishing violaters, as the list would be readily available to spamers. Effectiveness and enforcement: An all out effort to stop spam violaters should be agressive and fines and penalities should be fair and enforced by the courts. If the RIAA can trace and find violater the US Goverment should be able to find the perpatrators of spam and punish them. Suject Line; The subject line should be treated as a "truth in subject" law. The subject line should reflect the purpose of the e-mail, such as "software offer", "diet program", "body improvement/enhancement offer', etc.
