Maybe I'm naive, but it seems that going after spammers is like killing the messager. The only reason spam exists is because advertisers or product promoters are willing to pay to have their ads distributed. Spammers make their living by doing just this. But, if advertizers or product promoters were fined for having advertizements for their products delivered via email or spam, then spammers would quickly go out of business and spam would cease to exist. Collecting incrimating evidence couldn't be easier; it comes right to the Inbox.
