Internet Worms can be used to forward messages across platforms, etc. There use should be illegal. Once a company has an ongoing business relationship they should be able to continue it by simply providing an opt-out mechanism in each and every email message they transmit to the existing customer. A no-spam/no-message list would be impossible for small businesses to comply with and invite violation by the spammers that already fill our mailboxes. You would effectively hamper legitimate on-line communications and marketing while having no effect on the offshore spam machines.
