Comments:
A National Do Not Email Registry would be eminently vulnerable, and the addresses would be forever compromised. Such a directory would be huge and nearly impossible to manage because there are so many email addresses and they change frequently. As for enforcement, only legitimate businesses would comply. A Do Not Email Registry is not the same thing as the Do Not Call Registry and could not be implemented or enforced in the same spirit or manner.
