The availability of a National Do Not Email Registry is essential to Americans wishing to exercise their privacy rights, in the same way that the National Do Not Call Registry has been. Whether it is by snail mail, email or telephone, Americans should have the ability and right to opt out of advertising. We are bombarded by it everywhere we go---buses, billboards, even bathrooms, etc. Every man's (or woman's) home is his (or her) castle, and I should have control over what communication enters my home environment. I am all for the restriction of unwanted solicitation.
