Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 To the Commissioners, Everybody is making this problem entirely to complicated. By implementing a few basic rules almost all email problems would be solved (including Viruses). 1. By requiring every company and individual that sends an email or emails to have veriified header information as to who they are and who the host operator (including what server it was sent from) is. Including all out of country hosts. 2. The email host who would be required to verifiy the senders contact information. 3. There is a simple recourse by the recepient to block the emails and the ability to report complaints against the offending email to the appropriate authority. 4. The technology exists today and would not require massive funding to enact. 5. The savings in fraud and time saving alone would be in the billions of dollars per year. 6. Regardless of any arguments that might arise from implementing these simple rules they can dismissed by this simple reason - "If you are not doing anything wrong, then you have no reason to hide" Sincerely, Craig Herrington Arizona, USA
