"Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008." The only thing this act is doing is preventing small business who don't spam from doing business online. It is hurting only us who follow the rules but get bounced by spam regulators for one reason or another, but lets the porn emails through. Also, for those of us who are single women providing our addresses at the end of emails or on the website makes it dangerous for us by doing so. There are lots of bad people and weirdos who can get at our addresses and find us. We don't have anyway to protect ourselves from these people. I gave up my newsletter because I lost so many people from 4000 down to 89 people, simply because the isps are blocking all emails that have advertising in them. These people voluntarily opted in to receive my letters but never could get them. This act needs to be changed before us little businesses all go under. This is our only way to make a living and now we can't because isps are blocking our emails. The government are encouraging people to be entrepreneurs but we can't because our way of advertising is being shut down. I am 52 years old with an injury and this is my only income, but I can't even email my customers because the emails are being blocked. I am afraid to email anyone for fear of being turned in to the FTC. I don't make false advertising or spam anyone, but I can't use catch words like ads, money, subscribe, or cash in my emails so how am I to advertise what my business does? Please reform this act, because it is not stopping the spammers or anyone else who can find a way to get around it but hurting the small businesses. Thank you for reading this, Patricia Creasy
