Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 To the Commissioners, Although the problem of unsolicited bulk email has to eradicated I do not believe that the proposed suppression lists for merchants are a viable solution. The expense and restrictive problems that will be incurred will cause damage to all legitimate businesses and consumers and I feel will not contribute at all to stopping the problem that the proposal was designed for. In fact, this will exacerbate the Spam problem as I can see these lists being utilised by unscrupulous spammers and not being put out of business unlike legitimate businesses will be. I strongly urge you to reconsider this proposal and find another way that will solve the problems that need to be addressed effectively and not harmfully to the innocent. Respectfully, Brent Bond.
