Comments:
Please do NOT impede the free flow of communications between a nonprofit association and its volunteer members. Our "existing business relationship" infers that they expect to receive our solicitations to attend luncheons, register for conferences, and purchase other programs and services. It's hard enough to generate dues and non-dues revenues without incurring additional administrative red tape and threats of penalties. Our 41 independent chapters are unstaffed corporations that rely solely upon volunteers to design, administer, and market their programs and services. Email has become the communication of necessity to reduce costs and time commitments. None of us wishes to receive tons of smutty and junk e-spam but "one size" regulations are unfair and should not impede the legitimate efforts of associations to communicate with and promote its programs to its members and contributors. Thank you!
