Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 Dear Sirs, As a reponsible Internet marketer I am very glad to see that you are taking the problem of unsolicted commercial email so seriously, and are striving to reduce this huge problem. The effect that it has on individuals like myself, who are looking to make an honest living, within the guidelines of law and morality is crippling. However the rules that you are at present considering it seems will further impede genuine individuals in their responsible marketing efforts. It will also do little to deter individuals who use the Internet for their huge plague of unsolicited email. I at present market a good number of US based products through their affiliate programs. These programs and the money that is brought into your country through them would be under threat if these well-intended but ill-conceived guidelines were actioned. I urge you to rethink them.
