Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 To the Commissioners, Unsolicited bulk email should be stopped. However, I don't see why I should have to maintain suppression lists when my subscribers have asked to receive my emails. Why should consumers and honest business owners have to pay for others wrongful actions? You don't shut down the whole apple orchard because there are a few bad apples. You just get rid of the bad apples. I've spent the last five years designing software that works hand and hand with opt-in email. I'll be releasing it shortly. Your ruling will basically make the last five years of my life and the $30,000 I invested a complete waste of time and money and will deprive many people of legitimate business opportunities. This ruling must be reconsidered and looked at carefully. Mostly the innocent will pay. There are others ways to stop it, but this is not one of them. Sincerely, Brad Dunleavy Canada
