To the Commissioners, I hate bulk or “spam” mail as much as anybody, but I really think you need to reexamine the use of suppression lists. The potential for submission lists can seriously damage my ability as an independent entrepreneur who uses email marketing as a way for my thriving small business to compete with larger businesses. As a physician, I understand the importance of regulating products that are often sold through spam mailers. However, by punishing everyone who uses email marketing will seriously damage my ability to be financially viable. I also fear that suppression lists will eventually end up in the hands of the people you are trying to target, the spammer. Please, I urge you to reconsider this ruling which could potentially damage the entrepreneurial spirit which makes up this great country of ours. Regards, Michael Woo-Ming, MD Physician Entrepreneur
