Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 To the Commissioners, It is great that you want to stop unsolicited bulk email. But this also incurs a lot of concerns for many people, to have to maintain suppression lists. Which includes high costs and damages to both parties ( consumers and businesses) This will seriously damage many of the legitimate publications available on the net. This could also significantly harm consumers, because of the problem of properly knowing their intent when they unsubscribe from a list. On top of that, these suppression lists could easily fall into the hands of Spammers, leading to more Spam instead of less. There are many honest and hard working businesses that have been around for years, and this is how they make their living. This will take their livelihood away. This ruling, would appear to make a bad situation worse. I was quite surprised at the potential problems this ruling could involve, and urge you in the strongest possible terms to reconsider its implementation in light of these problems, Respectfully, Anna Mackeown MN, USA
