I am contacting you to stand in opposition to your proposed implemenation of a "suppression" list with regards to the CAN SPAM act. You are creating a lot of problems for honest merchants. Affiliate programs are a driving force in making online commerce work. A suppression list, the maintenance of such a list, the updating such a list, false or inflated accusations of "opting out" of such lists are going to drive up the cost of business online, where margins are alrady small, and increase the frustration level of the consumers honest business men and women hope to serve online. Your attempt to target the email spammers who peddle unwanted merchandise and services (many from outside the US) is about to ruin the businesses that the merchants who are going to honestly try to comply with this law have spent millions of collective dollars attempting to establish.
