Submission Text
Children should be protected from excessive and exploitive advertising that abuses the public airwaves for the exclusive benefit of the advertisers without regard for the damage caused to the ultimate consumer -- such as advertisements that encourage violence and aggression as a normal way of life. Such advertisements influence the minds of our children when they are highly susceptible to such influence, creating a desire to use a gun or bombs to imitate the action of a murderer or terrorist for the apparent strength and so-called "heroics" involved.
