I has to be 3 or 4 years ago, I had a charge on my quest phone bill. Actually it was two charges. Not large amounts but charges I had no knowledge of. I called Quest and they said I would have to call the 800 number to get the charges removed. I did call the company and they removed the charges. I also called the sheriff's department and filed a report with them. It turns out this person was going online and using my phone number, maybe others to charge purchases. The company told me he was using a computer at the local library. I contacted them and let them know someone was using their computers for illegal activity. Nothing was ever done except the charge was removed from my phone bill. However, I started getting calls for this person and his spouse? from collection agencies. I no longer have a LAN line and use just my cell phone. It was a nightmare.
