Please continue the restrictions on those who may legally be contacted to collect debts from a decedent. My experience is that debt collectors frequently attempt to extract payments from those who have no legal obligation. A friend actually paid a debt from her personal funds for her deceased mother when a debt collector told her that she would be sued for the debt when in fact there was no obligation for the daughter to pay. Any expansion of those who may be contacted would tend to expand the opportunity for the collector to bully people who have no obligation.
