Submission Text
Relaxation of restrictions on collecting debts from dead people would not only be a hardship on decdents' survivors but would also be a slap in their faces. If anything, the restrictions on debt collectors should be strengthen. Relaxing the restrictions tells inviduals that the Federal Government cares more about corporations than it does persons. There are many more subjects that need the FTC's attention instead of this one. The FTC should focus its attention on protecting the consumer and making sure that companies can and do conduct their businesses in a fair manner.
