Submission Text
In regard to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, it would be absurd to allow asset collectors to look anywhere beyond the immediate family of the deceased for the purpose of debt repayment. The guidelines for collection must be kept clear and relaxing the rule which allows only for location information to be sought is a slippery slope. The rights of the deceased must be protected. It is my hope that you will not change the current policy, lest the unfeeling debt collector be allowed to hound anyone who ever met the deceased in attempt to have the debt paid.
