I was doing some research on SecuROM and found on SecuROMs website that during their manufacturing process, "A unique, uncopyable electronic keycode is added to each CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or CD-R during the glass mastering process." Does this not violate our rights to make one copy for archival urposes? If so, could this be considered copyright infringement against the manufacturers of these discs. And also if this does violate our rights, then we need to get legislation passed specifically banning these practices.
