It is illegal and therefore criminal activity for anyone to steal another persons identity in any form. Capturing a persons idnety in the form of facial data is illegal and criminal, just as stealing a persons finger prints, dna, retnia data, etc... Are all direct attacks on the persons private identity. Steal a persons identy information for commercial purposes and monetary gain adds additonal layers of criminal intenet. By failing to receive a persons approval for commercial use of their identiy commercial companies are commiting theaft, trade mark and identity theft. An example is, forcing someone to appear in an advertisment, endorsment or appearance of support for a product, company, product or idea without approval of the individual and significant compensation to the individual.
