Please let it be stated for the record that I agree with the proposal below that will require the CRA to provide consumers with a free annual disclosure report each year. (FACT Act or the Act) requires the FTC to adopt rules to require the establishment of a centralized source through which consumers may request a free annual file disclosure from each nationwide consumer reporting agency; a standardized form for such requests; and a streamlined process for consumers to request free annual file disclosures from nationwide specialty consumer reporting agencies. In this action, the FTC is proposing, and seeking comment on, a proposed rule that would establish the centralized source, standardized form, and streamlined process required by the FACT Act.
