I think this is a wonderful idea. This would help to cut down on the confusion for the consumer. Of course the companies that are selling the credit reports will be very unhappy. For the consumer, this will simplify the process of getting our credit reports and most likely more consumers will check their reports each year thereby lowering the incidences of indentity theft and fraud. It is far too confusing at this point to figure out who's reporting what & when to which agency. Also it should cut down on the instances of double reporting by a creditor or collection agency.
