I am against the arbitrary phasing in of geographic regions for this rule. As a Marylander, I have to wait until September 2005 for my free report while other citizens get theirs earlier? That is discriminatory. The credit reporting bureaus have the benefits of a near monopoly, and they have the advance notice and money to prepare to adhere to the law across the nation. This can all be done electronically with the proper APIs/XMLs on their systems; they're already automated. I get to see my credit card account from VISA online, use my brokerage accounts online, check my banking online, see my frequent miles online, even see my library books checked out online and there has never been a privacy issue. Please amend the implementation of the law to make it for all Americans at the same time. Thank you.
